The PAAM Program, begun in 1975, was among the first in the nation to offer comprehensive outpatient services to heroin-addicted women and their families. The medical services provided include: adult medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology and psychiatry. These services are integrated with addiction treatment, which is provided via individual counseling, methadone treatment, and group therapy. Parenting, foster care, and vocational groups are also offered.
